Accident Reporting and Procedure Policy
In the event of an accident involving a rental vehicle, the renter must adhere to the following procedures:
- Ensure Safety: Prioritize safety and seek medical attention if necessary.
- Contact Authorities: Immediately call the police to report the accident and obtain a police report number.
- Gather Information: Collect the following information from any involved third party:
- Full name
- Contact information (phone number, address, email)
- Insurance provider and policy number
- Vehicle make, model, and license plate number
- Notify Us: Contact NÜ Car Rentals at 702-462-2664 to report the accident.
- Complete Incident Report:
- If possible, complete an incident report form online (link will be provided in email/SMS).
- If online reporting is not possible, a form will be provided upon vehicle return.
- Vehicle Tow:
- If the vehicle is not drivable, it must be towed to the activating or closest location.
- If the renter opted for roadside assistance through NÜ, towing services will be arranged.
- If the renter did not purchase roadside assistance, they are responsible for arranging and covering the cost of towing.
Failure to comply with this policy may result in additional fees or legal implications.

Liability Claims and Rental Damage Reporting Procedures
Liability Claims
Liability Claims:
Documentation: The CC Department should maintain detailed records of all communication and information related to the liability claim.
Notification: The Customer Service Department (CC Department) is responsible for notifying Michael at michael@nucarrentals.us of any liability claims arising from rental incidents.
Information Sharing: The CC Department must include all relevant information related to the incident, such as:
Renter’s name and contact information
Vehicle information (make, model, license plate number)
Date and time of incident
Description of the incident
Any third-party information (if applicable)
Rental Damages
Claim Setup: If rental damages occur, the Activating location’s fleet department will assess the damage and determine if a claim needs to be filed with the company’s insurance provider.
Information Sharing: If a claim is set up, the CC Department will provide the renter with the following information:
- Claim number
- Contact information for the claims company
- Instructions for filing a claim
Damage Disputes: If the renter has any questions or disputes regarding the damage assessment or claim process, they can contact Alternative Claims Management or ACM at (210) 340-4400.

Important Note: If the incident just recently happened and there is no claim set-up yet, inform the renter that it is still being processed, and they will be contacted for any questions. This policy applies to all rental incidents involving liability claims or rental damages. Failure to comply with these procedures may result in delays or complications in resolving the matter.
CC Team: Damage Payment & Insurance Calls
- Calls About Damages to Their Vehicle (Third Party / Insurance Company):
This falls under our Liability Policy.
Action: Forward to MJ (not ACM).
- Calls About Damages to Our Rental Vehicle (NU Car Rentals):
This applies when:
A renter is calling about documents needed to pay us for damages, or
A renter is disputing responsibility for damages to the rental car.
Action: Forward to ACM if the claim has been set-up and provide the claim number to reference to.
